The Creative director on Gears of War: Judgment, Adrian Chmielarz has left the studio People Can Fly, along with two other members. Epic Games president Mike Capps gave the following information in a statement about their departures from the studio.
"Adrian Chmielarz, Andrzej Poznanski and Michal Kosieradzki have parted ways with People Can Fly and Epic Games in order to pursue other opportunities, which they will announce of their own accord," Capps said in the statement. "Over the past decade, they have been instrumental in building People Can Fly into the talented team that it is today. We wish them well in their future endeavors. People Can Fly remains excited to release Gears of War: Judgment to fans early next year."
The former creative director Chmielarz tweeted some reassure to fans of the Gears of War series. He stated that the game was still is in good hands, and that more information about his future projects will be forthcoming.
"Gears fans, you're going to love Judgment," Chmielarz wrote. "It's in great hands. And don't worry, you'll hear about my plans soon enough."
Gears of War: Judgment is a third-person shooter that is slated to release on March 19, with international editions shipping later in the month. The game is a prequel to the first title, and is centered on protagonists Damon Baird and Augustus Cole. The two men are on trial for treason following a battle in the city of Halvo Bay with the locust. Gears of War: Judgment is the fourth installement in the best-selling franchise by Epic Games.
