If the information on the Internet is right, then game enthusiasts can get their hands on the next Xbox console within the next 18 months. The new console will also have the Kinect 2 bundled in every unit.
Xbox manufacturers, Microsoft have been secretive of their plans and products. Xbox 360 topped the charts and programmers have constantly been providing major updates to refresh the system's dashboard. Kinect, which has been in the market for nearly seven years, is primed for an update.
It's been rumoured and supported by with leaked photos, that the new console, codenamed as Durango, will be relased during the 2013 holiday season.
It was PC World that discovered a Microsoft job listing that was posted on the company's career website that suggested in the next 18 months next Xbox could be out. The job listing has been deleted.
"Over the next eighteen months Microsoft will release new versions of all of our most significant products including Windows (Client, Server, Phone, and Azure), Office, and Xbox."
SuperDaE, a Twitter user uploaded a screenshot photo of Kinect 2's advanced 3D tracking. The photo shows, that in order to track clothing outlines and individual fingers for precision, the sensor resolution has been increased. The screenshot was confirmed by Eurogamer as being the real deal. The sensor will reportedly be bundled in the upcoming Xbox console.
Game developers have to now think about adding Kinect features since previous users had to buy Kinect separately. But if Kinect 2 is bundled by default it will give developers motivation to program their games with Kinect features.
It has not been ascertained if the next Xbox will have DVR, Blu-ray, 3D gaming would be added features in the Xbox.
