The “Minecraft: Pocket Edition” 0.15 update is now available in beta version. Dubbed “The Friendly Update,” the upgrade brings a number of new features , abilities and a whole new user interface.
“Minecraft: Pocket Edition” is the mobile version of the hit game. Similar to the original title, the pocket version lets players explore worlds and create structures using various resources. Aside from the new “The Friendly Update,” the game features free updates.
The “Minecraft: Pocket Edition – The Friendly Update” trailer was recently released, teasing some of the features that will arrive in the official version. Some of the features that were previously confirmed to be included were spotted in the video, as well as unique locations.
Android Police noted that there are several new features included in the “Minecraft: Pocket Edition – The Friendly Update.” Version 0.15 showcases pistons and sticky pistons, fire charges, pig riding, husk zombies in the desert, stray skeletons in tundras, skeleton horse traps, observer blocks described as new blocks that can detect changes in adjacent blocks, leads, horses and horse armor that can be dyed.
Other features are being able to tip arrows with potions and cauldron, different villages in savannahs and taigas, and an entirely new user interface in the main menu, shared with the Windows 10 Edition. The new update also includes more tweaks, bug fixes and other additions.
Touch Arcade revealed that game developer Mojang is suggesting that there will be a mysterious but still unspecified friendliness in the game, although they did not clarify their statement. “Minecraft: Pocket Edition – The Friendly Update” may feature more, aside from the previously confirmed online multiplayer with Xbox Live friends and Xbox Live Achievements for Android and iOS. Players may enjoy a more interactive and “friendlier” experience in the near future. The developer may also be referring to the upcoming “Minecraft Realms.”
“Minecraft: Pocket Edition – The Friendly Update” has the multiplayer on Xbox Live, which can mean that cross-platform play is allowed. The new UI was notably better compared to the previous model. Because of the new enhancements, the Pocket Edition is almost similar to a full addition of “Minecraft.” Fans are expected to appreciate the new improvements and features which will boost their gameplay and experience overall.
Currently, the “Minecraft: Pocket Edition – The Friendly Update”beta version can be acquired on the Google Play Store. It will only be live for testers. Those who are not included in the beta program can sign up.
