When Angry Birds first debuted in 2009, gamers slingshotted a selection of five different birds, each with its own strategy: the standard red bird, the speedy yellow bird, the splitting blue bird, the explosive black bird, and the "death from above" egg laying white bird.
Over time, Rovio dished out new birds with different abilities to spice up gameplay; the wrecking ball big brother bird, the boomeranging toucan, and more. Now, Rovio has introduced us to another. Watch the trailer below to check her out!
With long lashes and bright blues, she's obviously a sharp contrast to all the other angry birds. Rovio has yet to say what the new bird's ability is, but if the trailer is any indication, it'll probably have something to do with...bubbles.
The new bird even already has a plush toy, which will no doubt contribute to Angry Birds' enormous merchandise revenue and toy market.
Since it's release by RovioMobile, the original Angry Birds and all its additions have reached (cumulatively) over one billion downloads. It's now available on everything from Facebook, to mobile phones, nooks, and iPads, and will eventually make a nest on home consoles as well.
We'll know more when the pink bird makes her official debut in "Back to School," the thirteenth season and final episode of Seasons 2012 in Angry Birds Seasons. The episode will consist of 30 levels, and will be released in a little over a week, August 17.
