The "WE ARE TEKKEN" Instagram competition was launched last week to find the finest images from around the globe that represent what "Tekken" means to fans. It can now be revealed that the incredibly talented rock and roll artist Vince Ray will be judging the competition and will also be in attendance at the exclusive opening night on September 13.
Vince has worked for decades as an illustrator in the music industry, working with such greats as Eric Clapton and describes his style as "Low Brow" specializing in retro American subcultures. In support of the launch of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 he has even turned his incredible talents to create a reimagining of Tekken favorite Anna Williams. Why Anna?
"I went for Anna Williams straight away! I'm a big fan of old pulp novels and am influenced a lot by their cover art. Anna seemed to fit very well into that style and I instantly saw here as a Fu Manchu style villainess or maybe a film noir femme fatale. Plus I'm a sucker for the Cleopatra hairstyle, silk dress, and leg show!" said Vince.
Playing on the tag element of Tekken Tag Tournament 2, fans have been asked to use Instagram to tag photos that show what Tekken means to them. The project is now just one week old and there already some fantastic entries. Click START above to check out some of the entries so far!
To get involved with the search for the world's best Tekken inspired images all you need to do is simply take your pictures and upload them to Instagram using #WEARETEKKEN or #TTT2. Entries will be accepted throughout the month of August.
