E3 2016 is happening soon and gamers were delighted to discover that there will be a “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare” gameplay footage to be shown. Although game publisher Activision will not set up a booth at the huge event, players can still look forward to more details on its upcoming first-person shooter.
The “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare” Twitter account teased that there will be an in-depth look at the game campaign at E3 2016 for players who wanted to see gameplay footage.
According to GameSpot, the “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare” video will be shown on June 13, 2016, and there may even be multiplayer footage presented to excite fans. Activision did not indicate the time and place, but some expect that it will appear at the Sony briefing at E3 on June 13, considering that there is an existing collaboration between Sony and Activision.
CharlieIntel noted that although Activision does not have a booth at E3, there are “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare” and “Modern Warfare Remastered” posters at the front and center of the venue.
PlayStation Lifestyle cited that the “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare” campaign synopsis stated that the story focuses on a soldier, Captain Reyes, who pilots one of the last warships left on Earth, called the Retribution. Earth has exhausted all its natural resources due to industrial and population growth. Colonies have been established throughout the solar system to acquire more resources.
In the story, Reyes will lead what is left of the coalition forces to battle a relentless enemy. During the campaign, gamers will travel across the solar system to different worlds in a grand scale war. The Front, a fascist power, aims to control the colonies, putting pressure on diplomatic relations and bringing the whole solar system on the brink of war.
Air and space combat will be the key elements of the “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare” campaign. The game will feature a linear story but also let players move away and try various missions in a non-linear fashion. Co-op will not be part of the campaign.
“Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare” will release on Nov. 4, 2016 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The partnership deal between Sony and Activision means that all DLC will arrive to PlayStation 4 first, and become available to other platforms after several weeks. E3 2016 will happen from June 14 to 16, 2016 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
More updates and details on “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare” and E3 2016 are expected soon.
