Square Enix's Final Fantasy VII Fluster and Fan Fix

There's nothing like buying a copy of a game only to discover that when you're ready to play it, it doesn't work. Such was the case for gamers who downloaded Final Fantasy VII over the weekend.

To mke amends, not only is Square Enix offering refunds, but for anyone who bought the game and was unable to play it, Square Enix is offering them free copies to boot.

According to a statement:

"This weekend, our teams were testing the product website for the upcoming relaunch of Final Fantasy VII on PC. While the website was being tested in its live state, a small number of people were able to purchase a pre-release build of the game. For those custoers, Square Enix will be offering full refunds for the purchases and for their inconvenience, a free version of the classic Final Fantasy VII on PC when it is launched.

We want to thank our community for their continued support and excitement regarding the upcoming rerelease of Final Fantasy VII. We will have mor einformation to share about the launch of this anticipated title shortly."

Good move Square.
