FIFA 13 To Offer A New Dribbling System

Last year's version of FIFA revolutionized the way we play video game soccer with the editions of the Player Impact Engine, Precision Dribbling and Tactical Defending. Each of the new features gently altered the game's already-solid gameplay for the better. This year EA is hoping to pick up right where the publisher left off last year.

FIFA 2013 will include a comprehensive and intuitive dribbling system called Complete Dribbling, enabling players to be more creative when engaging the opposition during one-on-one opportunities. The new system could make for some exhilarating moments during the course of a game and lead to a few shouts of goal.

These innovations should create better battles for possession and less moments where the ball appears to be magnetically attached to the foot of a CPU controlled player. According to EA, the new dribbling system will allow for players to change direction quicker, and accelerate faster with the ball. Hopefully this means less predetermined player animations during critical moments in the game.

FIFA 13 will be available this fall for the PlayStation3, Xbox 360, PlayStation, Wii, and PC.

Here is a list of this year's new features:

*Attacking Intelligence - Players have the ability to analyze space, work harder and smarter to break down the defense, and think two plays ahead. Plus, players make runs that pull defenders out of position and open passing channels for teammates.

*Complete Dribbling - Face your opponent and use precise dribble touches combined with true 360-degree mobility with the ball. Be more creative and dangerous in 1v1 opportunities.

*1st Touch Control - A new system transforms the way players control the ball, eliminating near-perfect touch for every player, and creating more opportunities for defenders to capitalise on errant balls and poor touches to win back possession.
