Asus unravels its own list of new devices for the smartphone consumer market with the unveiling of three new Android-powered Asus ZenFone 3 mobile phones. The three new Asus ZenFone 3 variants include:
- Asus ZenFone 3
- Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe
- Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra
While each phone vary in features and specs, it is worth noting that the Asus ZenFone 3 line will continue to carry its price-friendly schematics. But will that be the only factor to consider for a demanding smartphone consumer market?
The Specs that set them apart
The Asus ZenFone 3 is the basic of the lot, offering a 5.5-inch Super IPS+ 1080p resolution screen display backed by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC clocked at 1.2 GHz, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of internal storage, 3,000 mAh battery, a 16 MP main camera and a front-facing 8 MP shooter.
The Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe is the top of the line in the class, offering a similar 5.5-inch screen display size though it will be a Super AMOLED display instead. It’s processor is bumped a bit to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset (clocked at 2GHz), up to 6 GB of RAM, 64 GB of expandable storage, a 23 MP main camera, 8 MP front-facing camera and the same 3,000 mAh battery.
The top of the Asus ZenFone 3 lot is the phablet-looking Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra is in the middle of it all featuring a 6.8-inch 1080p LCD screen relying on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC, up to 4 GB of RAM, a 23 MP main camera, a similar 8 MP front-facing camera as it brothers but with a larger 4,600 mAh battery.
Common features for the Asus ZenFone 3 variants include fingerprint sensors, USB Type-C ports, Quick Charge 3.0 support, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1, and handle nearly all global wireless communication standards.
Pricing
The Asus ZenFone 3 is priced for $250, the Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe at $499 and the Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra for $479. The release dates have yet to be made official.
With pricing pretty temping, the new Asus ZenFone 3 trio could be a sleeper against the Moto G4, LG G4 Plus and the upcoming OnePlus 3.
