'Resident Evil 7' plot, features & other details
Meanwhile, reports said that "Resident Evil 7" will be focusing more on its horror roots while giving fans more action. It can never be denied that the previous "Resident Evil" games were not received well by fans due to focus shift and one solid testament of this is the games' decreased sales.
Hence, avid fans of the "Resident Evil" game series have expressed that the upcoming "Resident Evil 7" game needs a total makeover to redeem its glory days. Fortunately, Masachika Kawata said in an interview with VG247 that Capcom is considering to get ideas from fans to create the forthcoming "Resident Evil 7" game.
"I think we'll get a lot of input from the fanbase and the media on what it means for Resident Evil, and what it could mean for the future of the series, once Revelations was released," Masachika Kawata said. "Moving forward I can see us focusing even more on the horror aspect and fear in the series, and see us making something scarier than we have already."
If this is so, then it could probably true that the "Resident Evil 7" game will be tracing back from its horror roots. Capcom, up to this writing, has not yet released any official statement about these reports.
