“Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” released on May 10 and has since received great reviews from experts and players. The game by Naughty Dog went to the top of the charts in various countries, selling 2.7 million copies in its initial week.
The game, which is exclusively playable on PlayStation 4, is the final chapter in the “Uncharted Series,” focusing on the adventures of treasure hunter Nathan Drake.
Los Angeles Times wrote that according to the game creators, “Uncharted 4” was supposed to be akin to a playable summer blockbuster, featuring great gameplay and an interesting storyline.
Evan Wells, Co-President of Naughty Dog, said that the results were better because of the team working together and exchanging ideas, instead of having one person working on his concept and everyone else supporting it. Naughty Dog relied on an approach that showcased the collaborative technical effort and creativity of its workers. Throughout the entire process, the people behind “Uncharted 4” challenged ideas to bring present more about Drake’s character, as well as make the story richer, which explains why all the titles in the franchise consistently had the features and deep-rooted plot that players loved.
PlayStation Lifestyle presented a video that features the final boss fight with Rafe, the ending of “Uncharted 4,” as well as the epilogue, set about 10 to 15 years after.
The boss fight featured Nate and Rafe pointing their guns at each other while everything around them burned. Sam was unconscious. Nadine arrived to take their guns and then left the two to settle the score. The two men proceeded to have a sword fight. Just when Rafe had the upper hand, Nate cut a hanging treasure loose and dropped it on the enemy boss.
Nate and Sam, who was already awake but stuck under a huge wooden pillar, had a short talk. Sam said that all he wanted was to find the treasure with his brother. He wanted Nate to leave him before the ship went down, but the latter had a crazy idea of firing a cannon to let the water in to lift the obstruction off Sam. They managed to survive the whole ordeal. It also turned out that Sam and Elena was able to salvage some of the treasure from the ship. Elena suggested that they form a crew to retrieve the sunken treasure.
None of the main characters were actually killed off in the story. In the epilogue, Nate and Elena lived a quiet life together and had a daughter.
More updates and details on “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” are expected soon.
