Today, Sony has announced the release date of God of War and Infamous collection packs starting at $29.99. The PlayStation Collections will contain all of the games in each series, all of the down loadable content released for the games and bonus content. Sony's new collection series will be available on Aug. 28, and will also include the release of the Ratchet and Clank Collection.
The God of War Saga will include the God of War trilogy and home consoles versions of the two PSP releases, God of War: Chains of Olympus and God of War: Ghost of Sparta. Also included in the package will be additional exclusive bonus content. Buyers of the collection will receive a voucher for one free month of Sony's premium subscriber service, PlayStation Plus.
The Infamous Collection will feature the original two games in the series and the PlayStation Network title, Infamous: Festival of Blood. Sony will also be providing gamers with extra content in the form of bonus missions, new costumes, power-ups and weapon.
The Ratchet and Clank collection will contain Ratchet and Clank, Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando, and Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal. The PlayStation 2 classics will be remastered in 1080p for the PlayStation 3 and will feature staples of the current gaming generation such as trophies and 3D support.
Sony will also be releasing select titles from these collections through the PlayStation Network, but Sony has yet to reveal the specific names or release dates for those titles.
