Don't fret, you won't have to go rushing out to buy new wires or immediately upgrade all your iProducts. iMore has also recently reported that Apple plans to sell a 30-pin adapter for the new smaller dock connector that will allow new iOS devices to work with old 30-pin accessories.

When is all this going to happen? Well, apparently Apple has plans for a media event on September 12, where it's thought they will introduce both the next-gen iPhone, as well as the iPad mini.

We've discussed various features that would work well for the next iPhone. Among the rumored features for the iPhone 5 include a larger 4 inch screen, a faster chip, 4G LTE networking, NFC capability, and that the phone itself would also be thinner, and lighter.
