A leaked photo of what seems to be the iPhone 7 appeared on several news websites recently. What makes this leaked photo so intriguing is that it does seem to confirm other leaked details that have been spreading online.
iPhone 7 now saying goodbye to home buttons and headphone jacks
The latest leaked photos are showing a never-before-seen handset that hints to be the new and most-awaited twelfth serving of the Cupertino-based tech-giant's flagship smartphone. One photo shows the front part of the handset and it does not include any home button, which has always been present for the past versions of the iPhone. Another photo shows the rear of the device with a different camera arrangement in the corner that matches up with earlier images for the iPhone 7.
The device is claimed to be an actual phone and not just a casing or a frame that would be used for the iPhone 7. The headphone jack is also missing from the leaked photos and a different antenna line design is also visible on the latest report.
Upcoming iPhone 7 is Apple's first-ever waterproof smartphone
The leaked new design of the iPhone 7 gives speculations that the handset could be invulnerable to water. The main reason for this rumour is the elimination of the headphone jack from past reports.
Obviously, less holes on the exterior of any product make it easier to waterproof. In lieu of the headphone jack, Apple will rely on wireless Bluetooth and Lighting connector headphone accessories instead for audio output for the upcoming iPhone 7.
