“Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” is a third person shooter video game from Sony made especially for the PlayStation 4 and the latest word on that is that the latest instalment has been a hot commodity.
2.7 Million units sold
Sony reports that “Uncharted 4” has been doing good in its first week since being launched, selling over 2.7 million units across digital and physical copies as of May 16. With those numbers, “Uncharted 4” now holds the distinction of be being the fastest selling first party PS4 title in game console history per Sony Computer Entertainment America marketing manager Asad Qizlbash.
"Thank you to the team at Naughty Dog for delivering Uncharted 4, a stunning experience that sets a new bar for interactive entertainment," said Shawn Layden, chairman of Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios.
“Uncharted 4” succeeds “Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception” which technically lures “Drake” back for one more adventure. The figures seem a bit short if compared to “Uncharted 3” where the preceding instalment had reportedly shipped 3.8 million globally right on the first day.
But unlike “Uncharted 4”, the third instalment was released some years into the PlayStation 3's life meaning it had a larger audience to worth with.
"Uncharted 4" gets high ratings
“Uncharted 4” was given a 9 out of 10 rating by IGN and the latest feedbacks on the first player shooter video game should make it something interesting to check out.
“Uncharted 4” finds main protagonists “Drake” and “Sam” heading off to Libertalia which is situated over in Madagasar. The game proper calls for players to journey across the globe in an effort to find Avery’s fortune.
The game will also include a multiplayer mode that should put the skills of gamers to the test and potentially get power-ups in the process.
Aside from that, players get the chance to explore maps and find treasures. These in turn can be used to purchase new weapons that should make game play a whole lot more enjoyable.
