Dark Knight Rises: Bane's Voice Before and After

There have been a lot of..."unique" descriptions of the voice chosen for the villainous Bane in Nolan's "Dark Knight Rises:"
* Deckard Cain of Diablo
* A maniacal David Attenborough
* And my personal favorite, Darrel Hammond's impression of Sean Connery while trapped in an air duct.

Even before the movie was out, fans were wondering how the two would even understand each other when they would inevitably square off against each other.

Hardy claimed his inspiration for Bane's voice from Bartley Gorman, an Irish gypsy featured in the 1995 documentary, "King of the Gypsies." Fair enough. It probably would've come across a bit odd for the English-born hardy to try his hand at a Spanish accent, traditional of the character's comic origin.

Recently, a video made its way to Youtube comparing the differences between Bane's voice as it was heard in the Imax prologue from last December, and the theatrical version that premiered July 20th. There are a couple potential plot spoilers, so if you haven't seen the movie yet, you may want to stay away.

You can definitely hear a major difference between the two. The first version definitely comes off as tinny, even high pitched at times, and is far more difficult to understand. While I understand the complaints regarding the end result, the adjusted version is definitely superior.
