Quite surprisingly and unexpectedly, 343 Industries announced that Halo 5 Forge will be coming to PC on the Windows 10 platform. Unfortunately, 343 Industries also revealed that not all Halo 5 is coming to Windows 10 PC.
Developer explains why not all Halo 5 is coming to Windows 10 PC
According to Gadget 360, the Studio Head at Halo developer 343 Industries, Josh Holmes, explained that they will not be able to make all Halo 5 available to PC because it will ruin the schedule. He also noted that Halo 5 was never meant to be released on PC.
"It's not "full Halo 5" because that would wreck production schedules and be a year too late and the game (Halo 5) wasn't originally built or designed for both platforms in the first place," Holmes explained.
Gamespot reports with all the news and updates surround Halo 5, 343 Industries has stressed that they have no intention at all in bringing Halo 5: Guardians to PC. Instead, they are moving forward and getting ready for Halo Wars 2.
"As we’ve stated previously, we have no plans to release Halo 5: Guardians on Windows 10," 343 said in a recent blog post. "We are focused on building Halo Wars 2 for Windows 10 and Xbox One."
What to expect with Halo 5 Forge in Windows 10 PC
Gamers will get the full Halo 5 Forge experience, being able to customize levels to your heart's desire. With intuitive keyboard and mouse control scheme that gives you greater precision than what the controller has to offer.
You can also test and play on the map with friends on Windows 10 and have the ability to publish the maps directly to Xbox One with the file share system for the whole community to enjoy.
"We are giving players the ability to play full custom games to test their Forge creations on PC. Because Forge supports and builds upon existing Arena content, that includes the same maps and modes that are available in Arena on XB1," Holmes shared.
The fact that you can play test maps sounds like there may be a form of custom games also coming alongside Halo 5 Forge on the PC. Gamers will also have the ability to choose the resolution output, giving you the option to view Halo 5 Forge in the glorious 4k.
