'The Legend of Zelda' Wii U Release Date & Latest News: Delay to Make Nintendo NX Launch Better?

Nintendo has been everywhere in the news ever since they have talked about the Nintendo NX almost two years ago. Not only that, "The Legend of Zelda" Wii U game has also been delayed and fans have been speculating and turning through the rumor mill this entire time, trying to figure out what Nintendo has in store for all of us.

After Nintendo mentioned the existence of the Nintendo NX and The Legend of Zelda Wii U, there was no follow-up at all about the mysterious console and the highly-anticipated game. Gamers have been speculating about the "What if's" and the "what could be's" and the "he said she said" type of scenario, but PC Advisor reported that Nintendo did give some clarity and said that Nintendo NX will be dropping next year, March 2017, so what about the Legend of Zelda?

Nintendo has a reason why 'The Legend of Zelda' Wii U release is delayed

Now that Nintendo revealed the release date of Nintendo NX, the multinational consumer electronics and software company dropped another bombshell saying that a new "The Legend of Zelda" game, that everybody has been waiting in great anticipation for, will also be in Nintendo NX, which means that the release of The Legend of Zelda will be delayed and is expected to launch in 2017, just like the Nintendo NX, as reported by Polygon.

So what's with the delay? According to Design Trend, this move from Nintendo is actually a smart one, building more and more anticipation for the Nintendo NX next year. Every gamer know by now that The Legend of Zelda will be launched to both Wii U and Nintendo NX, making it more tempting for The Legend of Zelda fans to invest in either Wii U or Nintendo NX consoles. Either way, it's definitely a win-win situation for Nintendo.
