As the months pass, so do the rumors tied up to Apple’s next pair of flagships in the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. We did post previously that Apple is rumored to be in talks with LG to help in the production of dual-lens camera modules which will now be featured for both variants.
Assuming that the iPhone 7 Plus (at the least) will indeed come with the said camera feature, it seems pretty obvious that storage may eventually become a problem. Potential owners could end up using most of their default storage (16 GB or 64 GB) though it all depends on how trigger-happy they are when it comes to taking photos or videos.
With the best resolution likely to be the option of most, downloading and deleting them from the device could be a drag. So to up the stakes, why not up the storage variant to 256 GB?
A leaked photo once spotted via Wiebo could shed some light. While the photo does show the dual-lens camera module, noticeable is the SanDisk NAND memory chips allegedly for the iPhone 7 Plus with 16GB, 64GB and 256GB of storage as well.
If true, this will be the first time that Apple will be offering a storage option that is technically twice the side of the largest they offer right now (128 GB). It is possible that Apple may possibly take out the 128 GB variant and replace it with the higher capacity 256 GB or maybe even upping the minimum storage which is 16 GB.
But with the pricing in mind, that seems unlikely so the 16 GB version is likely to stay. The 128 GB option could stay as well so having four storage options for the iPhone 7 Plus could also be a possibility.
Though the iPhone 7/ 7 Plus is not expected to come with major changes, these bits are the ones potential buyers are looking into. More rumors tied up to the iPhone 7/7 Plus are expected in the coming months.
