AirPlay mirroring : The Best in Apple’s Mountain Lion OS

Apple released the new operating system, Mountain Lion last week. It has many exciting features, but the game-changing feature is AirPlay mirroring, which benefits home theater enthusiasts who have been waiting eagerly for the launch.

AirPlay mirroring enables users to stream video from your laptop directly to the Apple TV, including free Hulu content. Flash video provided Mountain Lion runs on Macs, and is  wireless. Though the concept isn't new when compared to iPads and iPhones, this is new feature for the desktop versions of Apple.

The 2007 founded joint venture, Hulu which provides free online TV shows and movies will be worth watching via AirPlay mirroring. Free streaming is provided by many networks offering full episodes of TV shows.

The downside of AirPlay mirroring is that it's mainly reliant on home network and broadband connection. Though not all content looks good when blown-up on the TV screen, the HD content from Netflix and Hulu is best to watch.

There have been others systems like Veebeam and Intel Wireless Display who have dabbled with the same features, but many encountered problems like setup difficulty, limited adoption, and high-priced accessories. With the help of a HDMI cable users can connect laptops and TVs. All AirPlay offers is the wireless experience.
