Tom Clancy’s “Ghost Recon Wildlands” is currently in the works. Senior producer Nouredine Abboud recently shared a few details about the development team and entire process.

Abboud noted in a blog post that they have a great team working on “Ghost Recon: Wildlands,” headed by creative director Eric Couzian and creative manager Jean-Marc Geffroy.

He talked about the several challenges they needed to face while creating the game, such as the huge battleground, allowing the players to be creative, technological issues, the freedom that they can allow players without causing them to get lost, as well as the storyline.

Abboud said that they started setting up a team to work on “Ghost Recon: Wildlands” in 2012. The team is currently comprised of hundreds of creative and passionate individuals. He shared that he joined Ubisoft to make “Ghost Recon” games. He also thanked the fans at the end of the interview for maintaining their interest in the franchise through the years.

The game will feature a massive modern-day open-world setting, RPG character customization, side missions an interesting storyline. Each mission will have a unique approach, focusing on stealth, ranged or open war, similar to previous versions.

The Bitbag wrote that the upcoming title will provide gamers with a deeper single-player focused experienced. It is said to feature smoother gameplay, a wide array of features and the elimination of exploits and cheats. The map of Bolivia is said to be much bigger. There will also be various terrains to explore, complete with non-hostile and hostile NPCs. The actions of the NPCs will also change over time.

Player actions will have effects on the world, so every mission may have a unique environment depending on the choices made. “Wildlands” may not have PVP but it has great co-op play. Gamers can choose to play with three AI-controlled units or three player-controlled units. Strategy will be essential in gameplay in the massive open-world setup. Players can communicate their chosen strategy and try to execute it accordingly to successfully accomplish missions.

“Ghost Recon” is the first military shooter with a giant open world setting by Ubisoft. The game can be played in single-player mode or four-player co-op. It will be playable on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

The game is rumored to launch in March 2017. “Ghost Recon: Wildlands” is currently available on pre-order. More details about the game are expected to come out at E3 2016.
