Two Trailers Released for New Superman Movie, Man of Steel

"Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound," and you'll see none of that in these two trailers!

They don't call it a teaser for nothing...

As you can tell, it's only the narrations that are the only thing setting the trailers apart, both coming from Kal's father figures, Kevin Costner who will play Jonathan Kent, and Russel Crowe, who plays Kryptonian poppa, Jor-El.

Playing the Man of Tomorrow is Henry Cavill, who some may recognize from "The Immortals," and Showtime's historical drama, "The Tudors." Really, anyone would be better than Nicholas Cage. Further cast includes Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Christoper Meloni, and Michael Shannon as General Zod.

After the last Superman movie, "Superman Returns," hit the box office, it fared...ok, from the view of the critics, receiving 76% on rotten tomatoes.com. Warner Bros. however, was disappointed with the film's almost $400 million return, abandoning the idea of a direct sequel, option instead for a reboot presenting Superman in a more modern context.

Plot details are thin, but expect flying, punching, some heat vision, freezing breath here and there, and a few pieces of green space rock.

"Man of Steel" is expected to hit theaters June 14, 2013.
