The rumored iPhone 7 continues to build hype as new of its alleged images surfaced online. This time, the Apple device gets CAD treatment, alongside its Plus sibling.
iPhone 7 Release Date & Price
The new Apple smartphone is expected to arrive in September, with a tag price probably similar to the iPhone 6s, TechRadar writes. There are mentions of a much earlier launching, but the outlet is convinced that September remains the best bet. The iPhone 6s currently sells from $649.
iPhone 7 Leaks
The latest image leaks are seen in a video created by uSwitch and Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks). As told by Phone Arena, these images reportedly came from Catcher, a sub-contractor that works for the Cupertino tech giant.
Could this be the iPhone 7 duo? Followers would remember how a previous CAD image of the iPhone 6 turned out to be the exact look of the device six months later, Phone Arena recalls, which means the latest leak is a possibility. If this is to be believed, prospects can expect the new smartphone eliminating the 3.5mm headphone jack and the two antenna lines situated at the back cover.
Noticeable additions in the iPhone 7 Plus include the long-speculated dual camera set-up, as well as a Smart Connector port. BGR notes that the iPhone 7 looks "eerily similar" to the iPhone 6. But then again, there are rumors which claim that the next iPhone will be completely redesigned. With no official tip from Apple, it's best to take these details with a healthy pinch of salt.
iPhone 7 Predictions
Demand forecasts for the iPhone 7 are also making rounds online. This week, the Nikkei Asian Review reported that suppliers from Taiwan will get "significantly less" orders from Apple in the second half of 2016, one cause of which is the "lack of groundbreaking features" for the iPhone 7.
Still, a recent survey conducted by the UBS Evidence Lab reveals that consumers - those particularly in the US and China - are more interested in purchasing the rumored iPhone 7 than the announced iPhone 6s. It is even predicted that growth will reach from 5% to 10% in Apple's 2017 fiscal year.
iPhone 7 Specs & Features
The device is purported to pack a 4.7-inch screen, QHD or even 4K display, water-resistance, wireless charging, optical image stabilization in both 12 and 5MP cameras (rear and front), hexa-core A10 chip, 3GB of RAM and iOS 10 support. Rumor has it that it may start from a 16GB internal storage or not, so an entry-level price bump can also be expected.
