When Rovio and Activision announced Angry Birds was coming to consoles, I don't think this is what they had in mind...
It's been downloaded over a billion times, so why not make an illegal port of Angry Birds onto a console that's been defunct for close to 15 years? Well, ultimate lack of playability and no touch screen controls would be two reasons, but that wasn't enough to stop a Chinese developer, who did just that, creating a rom allowing you to play Angry Birds via a Sega Genesis (Megadrive for those of you abroad) emulator.
As you can see from the trailer below, you're ultimately better off dragging your fingers across your smartphone then try your hand at this lame excuse for a videogame.
The hand "works" in the style of a cursor (normally your finger in most cases) and poorly at that. You can also download it from this sketchy looking site, but don't blame me for any problems you may encounter.
Since it's release by RovioMobile in 2009, the original Angry Birds and all its additions have reached (cumulatively) one billion downloads. It's now available on everything from Facebook, to mobile phones, nooks, and iPads. With its own line of clothing, toys, and a TV series in the works, Angry Birds is considered (relative to costs) one of the most profitable games in history, a legacy that can be expected to continue provided no one else tries their hand at another shoddy port like this.
