Of Course Hideo Kojima Wants To Make Giant High School Girl Robots

Oh, Kojima. You and your silly fascination with dream projects that will never happen while the alabtross of Metal Gear sits softly across your shoulders.

The dream continues after the game developer tweeted a photo of Military High School Joshi Kouhei, a manga by Jiro Matsumoto, with the added commentary he'd like to make it into a game using their next-generation Fox Engine system. Coming after the debunked rumors that Project Ogre was in fact Metal Gear Solid 5, this seems like a light-hearted idea from a developer who taught us love could bloom on the battlefield between a dork and a deadly Russian sniper. Kojima tweeted out the idea, which seems to be a gigantic plug for the unknown manga in the U.S.

Instead Kouhei focuses on a world where giant robots are made in the design of stereotypical giant robots in the shape of Japanese school girls wading through cities, bringing guns and destruction with them. Crunchyroll has a better look at the "girls." To be honest, sure, hyper-realistic school girl death machines sounds like the sort of joke that Kojima would find hilarious and then bring it back to being extremely serious about game publishing. Anything to make us forget about Project Ogre or MGS 5.
