Though the powerful duo of Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge is young, rumors surrounding a successor are already making rounds online. This device, easily dubbed the Galaxy S8, is expected to be a culmination of the Galaxy S line's best features with the addition of mighty-tempting upgrades.
Prospects looking forward to see the next iteration in the S lineup may have to wait until early next year, if the Korean tech giant follows its usual launch pattern. That being said, the Galaxy S8 is speculated to appear in the next Mobile World Congress, which according to Pocket-lint, could be on February 26, 2017.

1. Next-Generation Camera
Samsung is allegedly working on a new camera sensor with advanced specs and features, Know Your Mobile reports. This shooter is believed to be installed in future devices post the Galaxy S7, so followers are at the edge of their seats to see whether it debuts in next year's Galaxy S8, or much earlier for the likewise-rumored Galaxy Note 6.
2. Iris Scanner
This biometric measure is believed to be packed in the Galaxy S8, Digital Spy notes, expanding from the fingerprint scanner existent in the Galaxy S7s, as well as earlier models.
3. 4K Display
The rumored handset will likely have the familiar size of 5.1 to 5.5 inches, ValueWalk predicts, as the upgrade comes in its resolution. The outlet is convinced that the next Galaxy S will come with a 4K screen, considering the emerging tech of VR devices, which Samsung itself dabbles in.
4. Built-in Projector
A concept created by designer Steel Drake pegs the Galaxy S8 to have a built-in projector. Phone Arena thinks it might be a far-fetched addition, but nevertheless a cool idea that's reminiscent of Google Chromecast.
5. USB Type-C
USB Type-C support is nowhere to be found in the latest Galaxy S models, though they are still capable of fast-charging. However, TechRadar points that users can only plug the cable in one way round, so it would be a nice feature for the upcoming handset.
The rumored smartphone is expected to sell at a steep price of at least $1,000, though as with any grapevine celebrity, details are best taken with healthy pinches of salt.
