Mortal Kombat: Legacy Getting a Second Season

Kevin Tancharoen may have finally gotten the green light to do his own Mortal Kombat movie, that didn't keep him from working on a follow up to his web series "Mortal Kombat: Legacy."

The first season focused mostly on story origin, so it seems only right that the second season will go beyond. Tancharoen promises that the next season will focus on the tournament itslef. We do that the fighters from the original game will be making appearance (Kano, Johnny, Sonya, Liu, Raiden, Scorpion and Sub Zero), though we don't know yet if the same actors who portrayed them in the first season will be reprising their roles. See Tancharoen's announcement trailer for yourself below!

As you can see, joining the original seven will be Kung Lao, Kitana, Mileena, Jax, Baraka, Stryker, Shang Tsung, Quan Chi, Ermac, and Kenshi. According to his twitter, Tancharoen has said that work on the second season won't affect development of his upcoming Kombat movie. Easy enough, as the second season's script is entirely written.

No word yet on when the first episode of will debut, but Tancharoen aims to deliver "more fighting, more action.
