There's a new live-action Street Fighter coming up and it's all thanks to a two-year old fan film. The two of the original forces behind Street Fighter: Legacy, creator and co-director Joey Ansah and actor Christian Howard, returned to San Diego Comic-Con yesterday by way of pre-recorded message to let the panel at the 25th Anniversary of Street Fighter know they were working on a new project.
"It's truly something you guys deserved. The real reason we're making this video is to make an informed announcement. We want you guys, the hardcore fans of the 25th Anniversary of the Street Fighter panel, to hear the news," said Ansah.
Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist, which is planned to begin shooting by next September, will be the next "feature-length" series shot by the crew behind Street Fighter Legacy. Named for the style that Ryu and Ken's master, Gouken, practiced while delving into the origins of Ryu and Ken along with their master.
While there's not much else avaliable about the project, it's certainly an interesting way to continue and end the 25th anniversary of the fighting franchise. Especially if it'll make us forget about Street Fighter: The Movie.
