Rocket League has recently been one the best time-killers in the gaming scene and it is getting overwhelming support from its developers. The Indie developer, Psyonix, has been very active in keeping the game smoothly running these past 2 months and now, they have announced yet another patch to reward players that stayed loyal to the game.
The Indie developer has revealed in a Steam forum post that the popular "soccer-with cars" game in Rocket League will be implementing color-coding for loot and different crown types for ranked players. Sounds quite overwhelming doesn't it? Psyonix is very generous this patch, however the rewards are not unlimited. Use them wisely.
The February patch, which also adds unrevealed features, is expanding the game's customization with new loot. You can use the newly introduced loot to pimp out your ride. There are also season rewards for the first season of competitive Rocket league. This will signal the end of the season and grant rewards to anyone that managed to reach at least Bronze Division or higher in ranked games.
The rewards for ranked players this patch are limited edition crowns you can equip as toppers for your vehicles. Obviously, the higher the division you managed to reach the more awesome your crown will be. If you want the highly regarded platinum crown, you really have to grind your way up. However, that is a long shot because of course, you need to be ridiculously skilled as well.
Josh, one of the game's developers says, "One interesting thing to note is that the new Uncommon Item's drop-rate won't have a fixed percentage like the seasonal items do. Instead, your chances of getting an "Uncommon Item" increase the longer you play the game. After earning an Uncommon Item, the time then resets and you start all over again in your quest to get another one. This should give players who spend a lot of time playing some sweet new loot to accompany them along the way."
As for now, that's what we know. However this January 22nd, the developers have promised to announce new features and changes to the ranked play system. So stay tuned.
