Fallout 4 Update Fixed Dismemberment Issue

Fallout 4 Update Fixed Dismemberment Issue

Fallout 4 is an amazing game and no doubt, it has won the hearts of many gamers. But just like any game, there would be a couple of bugs and glitches that may be slightly annoying or really hilarious. Fallout 4's hilarious headless glitch has finally been fixed on PC in the latest 1.3 beta update.

This update has been confirmed to permanently fix Fallout 4's dismemberment issue, as mentioned in the Bethesda forums. "Fixed issue with player becoming dismembered while still alive," the update revealed.

However, Bethesda warns that even though they confirmed what it does, it is still incomplete or a "work in progress". Bethesda advised players of the game to save their game/back up their progress before opting in. The patch notes prepared instructions for players to follow if they want to opt in to the beta.

The update has already started to roll out and Bethesda already prepared a beta version for trial via update 1.3.45 on PC through Steam for people who chose to receive beta updates. The beta in Steam included a status menu for settlers in your settlements and the troublesome Vault 81 people will be now dismembered correctly.

Other notable fixes include subtitles updating properly and companions no longer getting jammed in power armour or being unable to get themselves up. They also added a couple of praise-worthy features, such as a new ambient occlusion setting, HBAO+, as well as better weapon debris effects for Nvidia card users. Bethesda also enhanced ESDF key remapping support for Workshop mode.

The update promotes general memory and stability improvements and fixes a huge number of bugs; including one player warp bug that teleports the player to a different location when aiming. Quest-specific bug fixes and changes were made as well. A great example would be the "Confidence Man" mission; Bull and Gouger were previously practically immortal. You can kill them now thanks to the update. Fallout 4's patches are already available first on PC and will be coming to consoles a little bit later. PS4 and Xbox One users will have to wait a bit longer.
