Since the final announcement of the Final Fantasy VII remake, the gaming community was heavily stirred and cannt wait for its release sometime in late 2016 or 2017. Square Enix confirmed that the game is a remake of the 1997 legendary game and not an adaptation. That being said, there were tons of hopes and speculations from the community of what to expect on the upcoming game and here are the top picks, according to Crossmap.
First, Multiplayer Mode, the original Final Fantasy VII had tons of mini games and a wide selection of maps, the reason that the introduction of the multiplayer mode is being looked on. The game mode will also provide new experience for the gamers. Coming in second is New DLC Contents, gamers are into DLC contents today regardless if it is a famous title or not. Although Final Fantasy VII is a great game itself, DLC or not, it would be very interesting to see new things that Square Enix can put in the game. Lastly, one of the best things the Final Fantasy VII is definitely its storyline. The way it was sewed and depicted on the game is just phenomenal; on the other hand, fans want to see different storylines based on the playable characters of the game.
In related news, Final Fantasy VII director Tetsuya Nomura confirmed that the upcoming remake of the game will not offer any dramatic or major changes and will also draw inspiration from the Final Fantasy VII inspired film Advent Children, IGN reported.
In addition, the anticipated Final Fantasy VII will not be made in Square Enix's custom-built engine and will most likely run Luminous Engine, the same engine responsible for other upcoming game Final Fantasy XV and some parts of Kingdom Hearts III before it was transferred to Unreal Engine 4.
