Aside from the formal announcement of Nintendo about the impending release of the Nintendo NX, the Japan game console goliath is still reluctant to provide any information about their next big thing. However, no matter how limited the information is, there is still information that was thrown out to the market like optical drive capacity of the looming game console.
No matter how hard Nintendo wants to hold off information from the public, there are still some that leaks through the cracks, like what happened during the past weekend when an insider confirmed that Nintendo is looking to make the Nintendo NX a cross-platform game console. This is basically an unpopular issue for the game console giant since it started producing the device.
The insider also said that Nintendo wanted to come up with a console which is somewhat similar to the PlayStation and Xbox. The leaked information also confirmed that Nintendo is looking for the possibility of having 3DS and Wii U games to be playable for the NX.
Experts were thrilled of this development and said that Nintendo has finally looking for a possibility to widen their reach, in order to compete with Sony and Microsoft in the gaming arena. However, the gaming experts are concerned with a fact that this might backfire at them since some of the game titles for the 3DS and Wii U are old and will get older, upon the release of the NX, since it is still in the pipeline.
The Nintendo NX was showcased by the late Santoru Iwata during this year's E3 conference but did not provide information about the upcoming device, which is very understandable, since at that time, the NX is still a concept. After Iwata succumbed to his disease, the organization formally stated that they are now starting to develop the NX and has opened the pre-order for the device. Although Nintendo didn't confirm the NX's exact release date, rumors suggest that it might come out in the market on July 2016.
