Camouflaj and Logan Games' 'Republique' was announced to be on its way to Sony's PlayStation 4 by 2016.
The game was initially released for iOS and Android then later on for Windows and OS X. 'Republique' was developed via a Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign that raised a total of $555,000 from approximately 11,000 backers.
'Republique's first episode was released in December 2013 titled Exordium. The second and third episodes were published shortly the following year, coined as Metamorphosis and One and Zeroes, respectively.
The three titles were then released to Android, after releasing to iOS, in 2014. Windows and OS X copies came in shortly last February this year.
Gungho Entertainment, the game's publisher, announced that the game, after following the commercial success of the previous releases, will finally make its way to the Sony PlayStation 4 by early next year.
The publisher also noted some list of changes which will be included in the release.
In related news, Camouflaj Studios will be working with Ryan Peyton (Metal Gear Solid 4), who is tapped to lead the team, on the game for the PlayStation 4.
At this point, the game for the mobile devices and PC platform only has 3 titles which are all available for download. The fourth and fifth will make its way to the market once the PlayStation 4 development is done, as confirmed by a Camouflaj insider.
With regards to the exact date of the release, neither Gungho nor Camouflaj issued an official statement, but tech experts are looking at February, similar to the date the organization has released their 2nd and 3rd titles.
With regards to the price, 'Republique' for the PlayStation 4 is about to be determined but the PC version is available at $25.
