Reasons Why Smite Took The MOBA Arena By Storm

Released on August 19 this year, the free to play online battleground Smite has captured the interest of the gaming public and here are the reasons why.

First, the game is based on Greek mythology and offers playable characters such as Zeus, Hercules, and Medusa. Another great big thing that Smite has accomplished is the way the complexity of the MOBA was broken down in simple pieces and made it playable for game consoles.

Second, the game offers gamers 60 characters to choose from, which is incredibly by far the widest selection of playable characters for a Multiplayer Online Battle Arena platform.

The third possible reason why Smite made waves in the console game area, is the adjustments made on the controls, wherein the difficulty of aiming using a keyboard was toned down and simplified on a console game controller, which made the incredible game more playable compared to its PC version.

Fourth and final point on why Smite took the gaming scene by storm is the totality of the game. Don't let the simple title fool you because the game needs smart strategy and demands high cooperation among players in order to survive and thrive in every team combats.

Smite was developed by Hi-Rez Studios and was initially offered on Windows platform PC in 2014 before it was introduced in the game console scene this week.

The game, for now, is only playable on Xbox One and has so far received high ranks from notable game review authorities such as IGN and GameSpot.

Early this year, on its PC platform, Hi-Rez Studios held its first Smite World Championships with a price of $2.6 million. Although the game is relatively new on the World Championship arena, Smite's price was ranked third highest price money only behind the famous DotA 2 and League of Legends World Championships.

Smite was ranked as suitable for Teens due to the game's Violent, Goory, Partial Nudity, and Use of Alcohol nature.
