The patch adds a surprising amount to the game at no cost, and is not simply a patch. There are new parkour challenges called Parkour Fever, new outfits, new trophies, and wholesale changes to the Be The Zombie mode. Here are the full patch notes:

The patch comes in at nearly 3 GB on console--a pretty significant upgrade. Seeing all that Techland has added for free, though, makes it look worthwhile. Techland did issue a warning about the patch interfering with trophy progress, but it's likely your console already automatically and installed the patch. If not, you may want to hold off, though the trouble is relatively minor--your call.
