This weekend saw other amateur squads fight it out for a chance to participate in today's Legendary Bracket, where the top eight seeds await. The tournament is set to kick off at 1 p.m. Pacific, 4 p.m. Eastern, and you can watch via the stream below.
Since it's an online tournament, pro players will be streaming their gameplay from home rather than using an official tournament stream. I've embedded the stream of top player Snipedown below, but you can feel free to hop around between your favorite pro players--Beyond Entertainment has a helpful mutli-stream page.
Halo Championship Series Online Cup 2 Claimed By Evil Geniuses
The first few HCS cups were forced into cancellation because of an issue with Halo: The Master Chief Collection's servers. A new patch had given party joining troubles to players with big friends lists, and many teams simply couldn't complete matches. The problem was resolved, and last weekend the next cup went off without a hitch. Following the in-person Iron Gaming Atlanta event, a series of online cups on the weekends are now scheduled until later next month, when the teams will again compete in person at the $50,000 Indianapolis event.
The current seeding for Season 2 is as follows:
1. Evil Geniuses: Snip3down, Lunchbox, Roy, LethuL (825 HCS Points)
2. Denial eSports: Chig, Mikwen, Heinz, aPG (600 HCS Points)
3. Cloud9: FearItSelf, Hysteria, Victory X, iGotUrPistola (365 HCS Points)
4. Winterfox: Randa, RyaNoob, Naded, Arkanum (360 HCS Points)
5. Counter Logic Gaming: OGRE 2, Royal 2, Snakebite, Cloud (175 HCS Points)
5. OpTic Halo: Flamesword, Ace, Assault, MaNiaC (175 HCS Points)
7. Team Liquid: Ninja, Spartan, Aries, Shooter (90 HCS Points)
7. eXcellence: Coby, eL ToWn, Frosty, UNLEGIT (90 HCS Points)
7. Noble eSports: Nemassist, Suspector, LifeStyle, Cratos (90 HCS Points)
