The world waits with abated breath for the release of the last of the Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. Nolan has categorically said there won't be a return of Batman even for 'Justice League' film.
One of world's much awaited movie will be released on July 20th as the release will end Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy. Directed by Christopher Nolan, with a star cast consisting of Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, and Gary Oldman, the critically appreciated Batman movie series will come to a conclusion.
Industry observers believe Dark Knight Rises will outperform The Dark Knight opening of $158.4 million which was the biggest three-day debut of all time. The question now is will it beat The Avengers' $207.4 million, a record breaking weekend debut. The film was shot in various locations including Jodhpur, London, Nottingham, Glasgow, Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey, and Pittsburgh. IMAX cameras were used by Nolan for filming, maximizing picture clarity.
Nolan's literary inspiration came from Charles Dickens's A Tale of Two Cities, "When I did my draft on the script, it was all about A Tale of Two Cities", and New York being the inspiration for Gotham City, "Gotham has always drawn a lot from New York".
In an interview to MTV News, Nolan said that none of the cast and crew of the movie would reveal film's greatest secret, the ending of the film.
It was rumoured that the Batman would return in 'Justice League' film, "No, none at all, "We're finished with all we're doing with Batman. This is the end of our take on the character. ... I've got no plans to do anything more, and certainly, no involvement with any Justice League project", Nolan said.
"It's all really about building to this moment, I've been working on these films for about nine years now and we have a beginning, a middle and an end now", he added.
The first media preview screening was held over the weekend with a strict embargo prohibiting reviews and tweets on the film. But there was Twitter frenzy with anonymous sources speaking up, "If this does not break the mold [sic] and win Best Picture, no comic book movie ever will", said one tweet.
"You people seriously have no idea the gut punch you have coming in The Dark Knight Rises. I can't wait to see it again. And again. And again" quoted another. "@aceshowbiz: 'The Dark Knight Rises' Gets Standing Ovation During Press Screening", was another anonymous tweet.
Dark Knight Rises is much darker in tone than his previous Batman movies and is bound to move us all.
