Bringing new meaning to the term "vague," GottaBeMobile claims to have photos of "iPhone 5 engineering samples" from a "trusted source inside the Apple supply chain." Go specificity...
The metal block seen in the photos above shows the alleged size of the iPhone 5, antenna and ports locations, tying it to rumors we've heard in the past. Upon arrival, it's thought that the iPhone 5 features will include:
* A 4-inch display that will replace the device's usual 3.5-inch display, to compete with other smartphones of late
* A thinner design rumored to be 7.9mm up to the current 9.3mm found on the iPhone 4S
* A metal back that might replace the glass Apple used with the iPhone 4S and iPhone 4
* A taller design to accommodate the device's larger display
* An improved front-facing camera, possibly HD in quality4G LTE data connectivity
* A swappable camera lens
* A removable back panel
* Quad-Core Processor, possibly the A6 chip
* Smaller 19-pin dock connector
* NFC support
In true fashion, Apple (throw us a friggin' bone already!) has yet to comment on the legitimacy of the photos. While this may have gotten many a Apple fanatic's panties in a bunch, I'll be waiting for something more concrete. But I'm not holding my breath, after all, Apple seems pretty busy in court lately.
