Galactic Civilizations III offers the same strategic turn-based gameplay as the past two titles in the series, revamped with a 64-bit engine and the introduction of online multiplayer. The game is very mod-friendly, and Stardock encourages fans to add ships, races, new technology, and anything else they can think of. Players can choose to focus on diplomatic or cultural expansion, or allows them to simply become an unstoppable militaristic behemoth. Cultural dominance is a viable strategy, so long as you can keep opposing militaries at bay through defense or diplomatic maneuvering.
Galactic Civilizations is available on Steam for $49.99. You can watch the launch trailer below.
