Nintendo has revealed its plans for E3, including the dates and times of its announcement events.
New Helldivers Loadouts Added In Reinforcement Pack 2 DLC
The schedule includes the surprising return of the Nintendo World Championships gaming competition, which has not been held for 25 years. There's also the Digital Event (an online stream that replaced Nintendo's E3 keynote), and Treehouse Live at E3.
The video below outlines all of these events, complete with the obligatory ridiculous annual Reggie Fils-Aime antics. It also mentions that Mario Maker will be playable at participating Best Buy stores during E3. The events will take place 4 to 9 p.m. local time on Wednesday, June 17, and noon to 5 p.m. local time on Saturday, June 20. Attendees will receive a sweet 30th anniversary Super Mario Bros. pin while supplies last.

Best Buy is also a major participator in the Nintendo World Championships, as well. On May 30, locations in major cities around the country will host qualifying tournaments, which were last seen in 1990. The winners from each regional event, plus competitors invited by Nintendo, will meet on June 14, at the Nokai Theatre, Los Angeles, for a multi-round Nintendo game competition. In the end, one player will be crowned the 2015 Nintendo World Champion. Fans in Los Angeles will have the opportunity to attend the tournament, while others can watch online. More details about the qualifying tournaments will be shared in the coming weeks.
The Digital Event will stream on Tuesday, June 16, at 9 a.m. Pacific time. These have served as the platform for Nintendo's major announcements since ditching they keynote E3 format, so be sure to tune in for the big reveals and demonstrations. Nintendo Treehouse: Live @ E3 2015 is ready t show action from the show floor with scripted events. Streaming times for those will be announced later.
