Madden 16 was recently announced (as if we ever doubted it was coming), and now EA has revealed the plans for the athlete cover vote.
Full May Video Game Release Schedule For All Systems
Your options for the Madden 16 cover are as follows: New England Patriots Tight End Rob Gronkowski, New York Giants Wide Reciever Odell Beckham Jr., Arizona Cardinals Cornerback Patrick Peterson, and Pittsburgh Steelers Wide Receiver Antonio Brown.
EA is continuing its trend of reducing options for the cover and taking it even further--last year's promotion had 16 players to vote for. They've pre-selected the best of the best this time (as any NFL fan looking at that list of names will know), and will pit them against one another in a vote.

This year, you'll be able to support the player you want to win with more votes earned by playing Madden games, including Madden Mobile, as well. You can play once per day on Madden Mobile for a vote, and logging into Ultimate Team in Madden 15 will win you a vote, while playing in that mode can earn you three more.
Voting between these four players will run until May 11, then the top two vote-getters will be revealed and put head-to-head. The final round of voting on ESPN's site will begin May 13, and the overall winner will be revealed on Sportscenter that night.
It remains to be seen whether or not the Madden curse will still play a role--fans tend to vote for anyone but a player from their team to keep the curse at bay, but bad play for the cover athlete has subsided over the past few years. Get your votes in!
