Nintendo Direct Xenoblade Chronicles X Livestream: Watch The Gameplay Video Showcase & Nintendo Treehouse Presentation

Xenoblade Chronicles X Livestream: Watch The Video Showcase And Nintendo Treehouse Presentation Now

Nintendo will be hosting a livestream today to show off upcoming Wii U RPG Xenoblade Chronicles X.

The live event will kick off at 11 a.m. Pacific/2 p.m. Eastern, and you can watch below via the livestream from Nintendo Direct once it goes live.

The first portion of the event will be a "video showcase", which will perhaps contain clips and gameplay footage from the upcoming title. After that, the website right now says to stay tuned for a Nintendo Treehouse: Live presentation, in which members of the staff will likely show us the game and discuss its development in a live gameplay setting.

What we know so far about the follow-up to Xenoblade Chronicles is that it will be a Wii U exclusive, and the world will be massive. The developers say the game world is roughly five times the size of the previous game, which is pretty impressive in itself. The team also said the last content check came in at about 300 hours of gameplay--if such a massive space is packed with good content, you can easily imagine how the total number of gameplay hours would quickly rise.

The content quality is of course the key piece (better that than quantity, as they say), but that will have to be seen when the game is closer to release. One new benefit, regardless of the content size or its quality, is that Monolith Software's Tetsuya Takahashi promised a seamless world with loading times only for cutscenes. Hopefully today we will be able to tell after today's stream!
