"You don't seem to want to accept the fact you're dealing with an expert in guerrilla warfare, with a man who's the best, with guns, with knives, with his bare hands. A man who's been trained to ignore pain, ignore weather, to live off the land, to eat things that would make a billy goat puke. In Vietnam his job was to dispose of enemy personnel. To kill! Period! Win by attrition. Well Rambo was the best."
Today in London, UK video game publisher Reef Entertainment today announced that Rambo: The Video Game will be playable on the show floor at this year's Gamescom.
If a new Rambo game comes as a surprise to you, it because, as Reef Entertainment Commercial Director Craig Lewis said, "We have been quiet since we acquired the Rambo license last August. During this time we have been dedicated to creating a videogame for consoles and PC that will allow Rambo fans and gamers across the globe to really get under the skin of Rambo and wield his iconic weapon-set in battle."
No details, screenshots, or video is as of yet available on the game's site, so we'll have to wait for some media to make its way back from this year's Gamescom, beginning August 15th. But you can expect it to be completely different from Rambo games of years past.
