The title will be free on Xbox One all weekend for Xbox Live Gold members, Microsoft announced on Xbox Wire. The offer begins Friday at 12 p.m. Pacific, and ends Monday at 12:01 a.m.
The entire game is being made available, not just a portion or mode. Additionally, if you decide to purchase the game after free window ends (or at a later time), you can pick up your progress from where you left off. Your Gamerscore and achievements will all be carried over, as well.

The Xbox Store will be offering a discounted deal to promote people to roll over into buying the full game, but it's only on the special NBA 2K15 Bundle, which includes 15,000 virtual coins. The bundle normally costs $64.99, but will be 40 percent off during the deal.
The real NBA playoffs will be entering their second week over this weekend, with most series already two games in. Whether or not you're a fan of the league or sport, the game is a fun time--you could do worse than to try it out for free later this week.
