Episode Duscae, the demo for Final Fantasy XV, has been out for about a month now since its release alongside Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. Today, Square Enix released a sort of 'Best of' compilation of some of the moments fans have experienced during their many, many hours with the game.
Project CARS Finally Gets A Release Date!
Titled XV for XV, the spoilerific trailer over the world's most unexpected and ill-advised camping trip can be seen below. Don't worry, though, the boys will be fine.
All of the previous trailers have consisted of epic vistas and exciting battles, but this is the first time we've gotten to really hear the characters and they sound...well, husky. Gladiolus, sure, he can sound like a badass but it's waify One Direction member Noctis, the game's main character, who sounds like he learned to talk by watching Batman movies and playing Metal Gear Solid. He just doesn't sound right. Or maybe he doesn't look right. Either way, it can throw you off.
Tiny Guardians Review: Looks The Same, But Plays Different Than Other Tower Defense Games
Visually, the game continues to be utterly gorgeous and will surely test the limits of whatever system you end up playing it in. A Day One patch is almost all but guaranteed at this point!
As for the release date, Square Enix has remained mum on those details. We hope to be getting it sometime this year, but these things can change. The company is no doubt gearing up for the release of Heavensward, the Final Fantasy XIV expansion that is due out in June. So we would guess at least after that, if not around the holiday season.
The last major FF release, Final Fantasy XIII, hit Japan in December 2009, and Worldwide the next December.
