New Project X Zone Trailer is 10 Minutes of Insanity

My inability to understand Japanese surely doesn't help me determine what the hell's going on in the 10 minutes of insanity below, but it sure is fun to watch. Project X Zone is an upcoming collaboration between Sega, Capcom, and Namco Bandai, and a new trailer has just been released.

It's hard to determine what exactly is going on and why, but Project X Zone is a strategy RPG Project that blends chaos with tactical turn-based battles called the "Cross Active Battle System," and will involve party members' proximity.

Being a joint venture between the three enormous companies promises an equally enormous roster. At last count, Project X Zone was set to include over 200 characters from the companies' various franchises, which can be seen below.

Namco Bandai is bringing jin kazama and ling xiaoyu from Tekken, KOS-MOS and T-elos from Xenosaga, BlackRose and Kite from .hack, and ALisa and Soma from God Eater. Capcom brings Street Fighter mainstays Ken, Ryu, and Chun Li, Darkstalkers Morrigan, Demitri, and Hsien-Ko, and Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield of Resident Evil. Fellow zombie battler Frank West from Dead Rising will also be appearing. Sega brings in Virtua Fighters Akira and Pai Chan, Rikiya of House of the Dead spin-off Zombie Revenge, and Scooter from one of my personal favorites, the old-school Alien Storm.

And yes, that's John McClane at the 5:38 mark. Yippee-ki-yay...
