Activision announced Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 with a teaser trailer yesterday, which gave away nothing but a few lines of dialogue and a 'III' logo.
Dark Souls 2: Scholar Of The First Sin Review Roundup
The official world debut is coming April 26, but details have already surfaced before then. Game Informer reports on some information found through the source code of the game's website, dug up by Twitter user Tiemen.
The text provides our first idea of the story, as well as the (admittedly expected) return of the normal zombies mode. Here's what the source code says:
"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is the first title for next-gen hardware in the critically acclaimed Black Ops series. Developed by Treyarch, the award-winning creator of the two most-played games in Call of Duty history. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 deploys players into a dark, twisted future where a new breed of Black Ops soldier emerges and the lines are blurred between our own humanity and the technology we created to stay ahead, in a world where cutting-edge military robotics define warfare. With three unique game modes: Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies, providing fans with the deepest and most ambitious Call of Duty ever."
Payday 2: Crimewave Edition For PS4 And Xbox One Trailer
Some of this we knew--it would be the first Black Ops game on the new consoles and would boast a campaign, multiplayer, and probably zombies. The dark and twisted future is intriguing, though, and I wonder if the blend of humanity and robotics will have anything to do with Advanced Warfare's Exo suits or a similar device. Time will tell!
