The Avengers will re-assemble on DVD September 25th thanks to a newly released teaser from Marvel. The combo-pack was always going to be massive and after the film dominated box office records before the summer movie blockbuster season could start. The Blu-Ray/DVD will definitely interest folks immediately after San Diego Comic-Con, where more Marvel franchise titles are being announced like Guardians of the Galaxy and possibly Ant-Man.

We bolded the fact there's a new Mighty Marvel short attached. Previously, the shorts focused on the adventures of Agent Coulson and tied into upcoming releases like Avengers and Thor. Since there is that confirmed Ant-Man test footage that Edgar Wright shout, could "Item 47" be code for Hank Pym's scientific discovery? It seems silly, but what better way to announce the character than an Easter Egg? Going back to the DVD, the rumored 45 minutes Joss Whedon cut show up in the deleted scenes, including more of Maria Hill. The descriptions hint that maybe there was a shift in storytelling since they're book-ended by Hill being interrogated, possibly by the World Security Council on Nick Fury's actions?
There's also the ten-disc Blu-Ray set containing every Marvel film--aside from Spider-Man, Ghost Rider, Daredevil and Punisher--coming out with a special collector's case with more info to come during Comic-Con. For now it seems like the Avengers will continue to be assembling in Blu-Ray players until Iron Man 2 comes out next year.
