Combing the undead and alcohol may not be the wisest thing to do, but Zombeer isn't taking itself too seriously.Set after a night of rightous and horrendous drinking, "K" wakes up to find the undead have taken over the bar and that he's about to become one of them. The only thing stopping the complete transformation is a handy branded beer that's also giving him special powers. Of course, if he doesn't take things in moderation, those powers could easily take control of him and then we'd have a raging alcoholizombie on our hands.
The first-person shooter is heavy on the comedic elements, since weapons seem to include a pink vibrator used to slap zombie cheerleaders. From the press release, it's fairly apparent this isn't going to be the next Left 4 Dead:
"Thanks to our creative team and our background in animation, we've designed Zombeer as a horror comedy full of action and beer, which is perfectly true to our tastes." declared Carlos Fernandez, CEO of Moonbite. "Our team is very passionate about pop culture so the game proudly features many references to movies, comic books and games that we like. We have said that if Zombeer had a fragrance, it would be a mix between Las Vegas and a Tijuana dive bar. We can't wait to unveil it and feed our fans with more videos and images of crazy and naughty zombies until the game releases!"
Zombeer will come out for the Mac and PC, with a proposed Playstation 3 release, at an as-yet-confirmed date. But it hasn't stopped the Moonbite team from releasing a How To Kill Zombies video guide.
