Nintendo president Satoru Iwata kicked off the latest Nintendo Direct today with Mewtwo, who will finally be appearing in Super Smash Bros this month as DLC.
Mewtwo will cost $3.99 on one system or on both for $4.99 and be released on April 28. Of course, if you own both Wii U and 3DS versions of Super Smash Bros. (and registered them on Club Nintendo before March 31) you'll get be able to download him for free on April 15. If you didn't already, it's too late! Club Nintendo is done.
Iwata also revealed that there are many more customizable costumes for Miis coming, including costumes inspired by game series- like Majora's Mask and Mega Man.
Next, he revealed the next DLC character after MewTwo- Lucas, from the Mother (Earthbound) series, who is returning to battle with his pal Ness. Both new characters will be getting their own amiibos.
But he won't be the last character added to the game. Nintendo has opened up a Smash Bros Fighter Ballot on smashbros.com that lets you choose what characters you'd like to see in Super Smash Bros. They stress that not every request will be accommodated but that they're going to read every one.
